Brennan & Clark is looking for high-energy and ambitious self-starters to join our growing Commercial Collections team. We hire both experienced and non-experienced collectors and have an excellent training program. Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility is to negotiate collections from delinquent commercial accounts over the phone and via email.
  • Works from the established collector work queue to make contacts.
  • Applies critical thinking skills to determine appropriate solutions while overcoming obstacles to improve call outcomes.
  • Interact effectively and courteously with internal and external customers to maximize collection efforts and enhance revenue generation opportunities.
  • Understand company policies and procedures and execute without issue.
  • Meets phone requirements, inbound and outbound calls to debtors.
  • Follow communication “scripts” when handling different topics.
  • Responds to all questions and inquiries using procedures that fall within established parameters.
  • Identify and negotiate approved payment arrangements on past due balances within collection guidelines and laws and maintaining a strong customer relationship.
  • Keep detailed records of all conversations in our database.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Receive direction from leaders.
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to successfully multi-task and manage concurrent situations.

  • Communicates effectively and has strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well independently and has strong project management and organization skills. Be open and willing to try new things.
  • Must be computer literate with the ability to input and retrieve data from database systems.
  • High School Diploma Required.

The starting pay is up to $20 per hour, depending on qualifications – PLUS uncapped commissions.

Experience

  • Collections: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
